If you need any convincing of Panasonic's brilliance with plasma TVs, you only need look at the Panasonic TXP50VT30. It's simply stunning!
At the heart of this range-topping plasma TV is a class leading 3D screen. It's not just the projection from the TV but the ability for the TV to give the impression of images behind the TV that really impresses. Thanks to Panasonic's Vreal 3D chipset and the superfast reaction time of Panasonic's Neo Plasma panel, this is one of the most effective 3D TVs in its class. Once you've experienced the involvement of a 3D film, you'll find 2D decidedly, well, two-dimensional! In order for you to get the most out of this Panasonic 3D plasma TV, they've also fitted a 2D - 3D convertor. As a bonus with this model, Panasonic include two pairs of active 3D glasses.
Yet the Panasonic TXP50VT30 isn't just about being one of the sharpest 3D TVs to date, it's also about viewing pleasure; whatever the dimension. Panasonic have combined 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology with their own image-analysis technology to create super-smooth images, whatever the format. With an amazing contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and a new filter system, the VIERA TXP50VT30 gives inky deep blacks and truer realism than ever before at this level. If you need further assurance that the TXP50VT30 has one of the very best video performances in its class you need look no further than the THX certification. THX are a separate body, connected to Lucas films, who test and monitor video and audio performance. Simply put, in order for a TV to be THX certified, the performance has to be exceptionally good in a whole raft of areas. The Panasonic TX-P50VT30 is just such a TV. If you want to take it further still and get the very best picture possible, advanced isf mode gives TV experts and AV installers the opportunity to adjust the settings to perfectly match the room environment.
Although we'd still recommend a separate audio system, the TXP50VT30 has much better audio on board than other TVs. This is because Panasonic have fitted the TXP50VT30 with a separate subwoofer and ProSurround 2.1. By separating the bass from the main stereo speakers fewer compromises exist with the sub able to concentrate on bass while the stereo speakers offer the clearest mid-range and treble clarity. With ProSurround technology, there's also a far wider spread of sound than you'd expect from a TV. In order to keep up with the latest broadcast standards for audio, there's also Dolby Pulse fitted. This new processor has been designed to offer a more consistent sound quality from ordinary TV and should be with us soon.
Offering both freesat HD and the new Freeview HD, the TXP50VT30 has all you need for HD TV. Simply connect a satellite dish for a wide range of freesat HD channels and/or connect a digital TV compatible aerial for Freeview and Freeview HD (coverage dependant). VIERA Connect brings together a host of features that make this much more than 'just' a TV. Firstly, you can connect to your home network hub via the standard wi-fi connection or Ethernet. Then you can stream video, photos and music from another source, such as your PC, via DLNA. Alternatively, use the Application-based browser to view shopping based functions, social media Apps and catch-up TV channels. Where this latest Panasonic Neo Plasma TV goes further is by offering USB HDD recording. Simply connect an external USB Hard Disc Drive and the VIERA remote will treat it like a Hard Disc Drive, allowing you to not only record TV but also rewind live TV. Along with all the expected HDMI and analogue inputs, there's also an SD card slot - perfect for showing your digital photographs straight onto TV. Added together, it makes this Panasonic 3DTV a complete home entertainment hub that's worlds away from TVs of days gone by.
For unrivalled 3D plasma thrills combined with decent sound quality and class-leading connectivity, the Panasonic TXP50VT30 really has got it all. And then some!
